HOUSTON – October 2, 2011– Marking a decade of support, the 10th Annual Divots for Devereux Golf Classic was the most successful tournament to date. Held Monday, September 19, the tournament took place at the BlackHorse Golf Course in Cypress, Texas. Title Sponsor, Lexus of Clear Lake, and new Masters Sponsor O'Rourke Petroleum and Shell Lubricants, helped this year's tournament raise more than $83,000 for the Devereux Texas School and Scholarship Program, which supports young children in need
30 teams came out to support the charitable cause for Devereux. Greeted at the door by two Houston Dynamo cheerleaders, tournament players enjoyed a full day of golf, complete with lunch and dinner. Prizes and a raffle were awarded at the close of the tournament, and guests had the chance to bid on live and silent auction items — everything from fully-paid trips to Vegas to a retreat vacation in Costa Rico.
